BluesLink #12, June 24th, We are broadcasting a live-stream, virtual fundraising, telethon style, event on June 24th at 7pm. The event concert will feature many of our own alumni youth, our own youth band performing along with Canadian icons:

  • Juno Award winner Billie Newton Davis.
  • Jackie Richardson, a founding member of the 1960s sensation group The Tiaras, she is an Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television Gemini Award nominee three times, NAACP Image Award for Best Actress. Jackie is also a noted stage performer, winning a Dora Award.
  • Julie Michels is an international touring artist, acting/singing/performance star & co-writer of the ever-popular BroadSway theatre presentation.
  • Music direction by Jason Jestadt who has an incredible career: nominated for a Dora Award, as well as the Canadian premieres of Cinderella and James and the Giant Peach for Young People’s Theatre. He has also worked on productions of We Will Rock You, Rock of Ages, Billy Elliot, Rent, Guys and Dolls, re-orchestrating Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music (Shaw Festival). Currently, Jason is the music director for Colm Wilkinson, MTCC, and Holy Blossom Temple in Toronto.
  • Co-hosted by our very own YouthLink alumni Sidra Jafri and Romeo Gordon.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, our What’s Up Walk-In services are now being offered online through video-conferencing. We know this is a stressful time for everyone, and we want you to be able to continue to access our counsellors and clinicians in a safe and secure way so we are now offering you online video-conferencing counselling and support.

 

Our E-Counselling What’s Up Walk-In service will be open Monday – Friday until further notice. If you would be interested in booking one of our daily video-conferencing appointments for a counselling or support session with a clinician, call 416-967-1773 extension 222 and you will be connected to our Intake department. E-Counselling and support is also available for many of our other programs. Intake staff can provide you with more information if you are interested.

 

Although many of our staff are temporarily working off-site, all of our housing and residential programs continue to operate as usual.
