The Board of Directors of YouthLink is pleased to announce the appointment of Shannon Jackson as the organization’s new Executive Director, effective July 7, 2025.
Shannon has over 10 years of leadership experience in the non-profit sector, coupled with expertise in human services, organizational leadership, and youth-focused programming. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Durham Youth Services, where she led the agency through significant transformation—expanding programs, strengthening community partnerships, and improving outcomes for youth experiencing homelessness.
Throughout her career, Shannon has demonstrated a deep commitment to youth empowerment, equity, and community collaboration. Her strong background in strategic planning, human resources, and operational management will be instrumental as YouthLink continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of young people and families in Scarborough and across the GTA.
As we look to the future, we would also like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere appreciation to Janice Hayes, who has served as our interim leader since July 2024. Janice’s steady leadership, dedication, and support during this period of transition have been invaluable to the organization, staff, and the youth we serve. We are deeply grateful for her contributions and service to YouthLink.
