Donating Items During COVID
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in an effort to minimize foot traffic and eliminate virus transference exposure from contaminated surfaces we have put in place new policy restrictions regarding YouthLink’s very limited acceptance of donated goods at this time.

Temporary Preference of type of donations
COVID-19 has unplanned, exorbitant expenses involving PPE costs, increased, federally mandated costs around front-line worker compensation, risk reduction COVID-19 driven facility renovations, plexiglass installs and the costs of the costs of revamping our in-person counseling and tutoring models moving them online for virtual capabilities. As our expenses have risen to cover our COVID-19 expenses we wish to convey to our loyal donors that our preference at this time would be to receive your contributions in monetary form rather than tangible gifts in kind. **please see below for methods of donation payments available.

Individual Donors
YouthLink greatly appreciates the generous support of our donors who wish to donate items to our Youth Mental Health Agency. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic and while there continues to be any risks of contracting the virus, we have made the difficult decision to cancel until further notice the acceptance of donations of all used clothing and all non-perishable items from individual donors. In addition, we made the difficult decision to discontinue accepting all donation “drop-off” items at all of our locations including the Kennedy corporate office and Walk-In Centre and the shelter on Warden Avenue of baked goods, toiletries or all other items. Individual donors, clubs and organizations who have already collected brand new items to donate please send your donation content information to so that together we can establish pick up or delivery logistics.

Corporate Donations
YouthLink gratefully will continue to accept corporate donations of new items, new clothing, frozen foods, dry goods from corporate donors. Please email Evan to arrange logistics
