POSITION:  Youth Leader (1 vacant position) Part-time, Contract (Fee for Service) ASAP – March 14, 2022.    
LOCATION:  Danforth/Kennedy  
REPORTS TO:  Project Manager  
DESCRIPTION:    Youth Leaders will support the Project Manager and Art Consultants in co-designing an art-based program strategy to be implemented in the different departments at YouthLink   Key Responsibilities:   Assist the Project Manager and Art Consultants in developing and facilitating training, meetings and presentations Work with the organization’s staff to participate in redesigning programming to include artWork collaboratively with other Youth Leaders in the teamCreatively apply technical skills to produce presentations for training Document daily activities and report results Create and facilitate workshops that respond to various learning styles Assist with social media engagement    
Knowledge of community services within Scarborough Experience with art-based therapy and community healing programs Experience in organizing and conducting meetingsFluent in social media and marketing toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience facilitating workshops and creating presentations Familiar with using programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe based programs and presenting information in an engaging mannerAttention to detailExcellent prioritization and problem-solving skills Excellent time management skillsGood communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build meaningful rapport with staff, volunteers, and youth participants Knowledge of Anti-Black racism and the impact on youth. Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.   
CONTRACT HOURS OF WORK:   CONTRACT PERIOD :   FEE FOR SERVICE:      10 hours per week (evening if required)     ASAP to March 14, 2022   $15 per hour

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, our What’s Up Walk-In services are now being offered online through video-conferencing. We know this is a stressful time for everyone, and we want you to be able to continue to access our counsellors and clinicians in a safe and secure way so we are now offering you online video-conferencing counselling and support.


Our E-Counselling What’s Up Walk-In service will be open Monday – Friday until further notice. If you would be interested in booking one of our daily video-conferencing appointments for a counselling or support session with a clinician, call 416-967-1773 extension 222 and you will be connected to our Intake department. E-Counselling and support is also available for many of our other programs. Intake staff can provide you with more information if you are interested.


Although many of our staff are temporarily working off-site, all of our housing and residential programs continue to operate as usual.
