Board Chair

Alisha Tharani is an accomplished executive leader with nearly 20 years of experience in strategic leadership, government relations, and systems change across Ontario’s health and social sectors. She currently serves as Board Chair of YouthLink, having joined the Board in 2020, and brings deep expertise in building coalitions, advancing advocacy, and driving meaningful outcomes in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Most recently, Alisha served as Chief Executive Officer of Addictions and Mental Health Ontario (AMHO), where she led a member-based non-profit representing over 150 addiction and mental health organizations across the province. Prior to AMHO, she served as Executive Director of Mental Health Partners, a partnership between ten specialized stand-alone psychiatric hospitals across Ontario.

Earlier in her career, Alisha held senior roles at the Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) at Baycrest Health Sciences and the Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network (TAHSN), where she established strategic partnerships, cultivated government relationships, and led collaborative initiatives across the health sector.

She holds a Masters of Health Administration from the University of Ottawa and has served as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Toronto’s Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.
