Doug Harris is General Counsel, Director of Policy and Market Regulation and Secretary to the Commission at Nova Scotia Securities Commission. As General Counsel to the Commission, Doug provides senior legal support and advisory services on a broad range of operational, legal and policy initiatives to the Chair, Commission members, Executive Director and staff. As Secretary to the Commission, he is responsible for the creation, maintenance and security of the Commission’s hearing system and Commission meetings. As Director of Policy and Market Regulation, Doug is responsible for the supervision and management of the registration, compliance, investor education and communications staff and functions of the Commission as well as the development, implementation and oversight of the Commission’s policy and legislative initiatives.
